The house

One long, light-filled space that opens onto the garden

The pool and wooden terrace with loungers and a dining table, with the open glass living room and its cobalt-blue wall behind

Pool · terrace · glass living room

  • Living room under the glass roof with a cobalt-blue wall, a ladder to the loft and a striped armchair
  • White corridor under a glass ridge with a view into the blue living room
  • Cobalt-blue wall with an open door to the kitchen and the meadow beyond
01

The glass room

The heart of the house: a living room under a pitched glass roof, with a cobalt-blue wall, a ladder up to the loft and a wood stove. The glass doors fold all the way open to the terrace, so inside almost becomes outside.

Underfloor heating · fireplace · Netflix & music streaming · wifi

  • The 12-metre pool with timber deck, orange loungers and the timber house with its glass roof
  • Dining table for six on the terrace next to the pool, with the orchard behind
  • The timber front gable with an open garden door and two loungers on the front terrace
02

Private pool and garden

A 12-metre pool framed by a timber deck, a large old tree and an orchard, with cows and horses in the neighbouring meadow. From mid-May to October it is heated by a solar slat cover (usually 25–29 °C in sunny weather); outside the season it is a bracing plunge after the sauna.

In all honesty: our family takes a swim now and then too, but the pool is mostly private for guests.

  • Dining nook with a bench, dark table and two pendant lights in front of a large window
  • New kitchen with dark cabinets, induction hob, oven and wooden worktop
  • Dining nook beside the kitchen door with a bead curtain and a view of the meadow
03

Kitchen and dining nook

A compact, new kitchen with induction hob, oven, dishwasher and Nespresso, plus a cosy dining nook with a bench and a view of the green. There is a barbecue outside.

Induction · oven · dishwasher · 2 fridges · Nespresso

  • Light bedroom with a double bed under a canopy and an open garden door
  • Two single beds on the loft under a triangular window
  • Bunk bed in the small room with a window to the garden

Sleeping

The double bed with its canopy stands in the light front room with its own garden door. Up on the loft above the living room (via a steep ladder) are two single beds under a triangular window, and the small room has a bunk bed.

The house is open-plan: only the bunk room and the toilet can be closed off. Ideal for couples, families and friends who are at ease with each other.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

Is the pool heated?

From mid-May to October the 12-metre pool is heated by a solar slat cover; in sunny weather the water is usually 25–29 °C. This is still the Netherlands: after a few cold days you will notice it in the water. Outside the season it makes a wonderfully fresh plunge after the sauna.

Is the pool private?

The pool is mostly private for guests. Our family takes a dip now and then too.

How does the sauna work?

The sauna is wood-fired: you light the stove in the living room and after about an hour the sauna is up to temperature. Wood is included within reason, and Vivienne explains everything on arrival.

What is included?

Gas, electricity, wood for sauna and fireplace (within reason), wifi, Netflix and music streaming, parking at the door with an EV charger, and basics such as shampoo, shower gel, salt and pepper. On top of the nightly price you pay a one-off €50 for final cleaning and €2.70 tourist tax per person per night.

How open is the house?

Very open: all spaces flow into each other, partly under a glass roof. Only the bunk room and the toilet can be closed off. Lovely for couples, families and friends who are at ease with each other.

Where do six guests sleep?

In the double bed in the bedroom, in the two single beds on the loft (via a steep ladder) and in the bunk bed in the small room.

Do I need to bring bed linen and towels?

You can, or you can rent them: bed linen €12.50, bath linen €10 and a bathrobe €10 per person per stay. Duvets, pillows and mattress protectors are always provided.

Are children and babies welcome?

Definitely. Children love the garden, the animals and the bunk bed. A travel cot fits in the small room. Please note: the pool is not fenced.

Can I bring my dog?

Please get in touch first. Many guests have come with their dog, and our own Schnauzer lives here too.

How do payment and cancellation work?

You first send a no-obligation request. After confirmation you pay a €250 down payment; the remainder is due before arrival. You can cancel free of charge up to 5 days before arrival.

What are the check-in times?

Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 11:00. The minimum stay is 2 nights.
